A stunning piece of vintage artisan jewellery, this handmade ring showcases a natural dendritic agate cabochon—often referred to as "moss agate" for its delicate, branch-like inclusions reminiscent of forest ferns or icy landscapes. The stone is bezel-set in a sterling silver mount, surrounded by finely worked silver scrollwork that frames the gem like a miniature landscape painting. Accentuating the organic elegance of the design are 9ct gold beads, adding subtle warmth and a refined contrast against the cool silver tones.
This is a unique studio piece, likely crafted in the 1970s or 1980s during the revival of interest in naturalistic and earth-toned jewellery. The ring bears a maker’s mark, "M", and is stamped for sterling silver on the reverse.
